MD – 110 Foundation of Epidemiology

This course presents the concepts and methods of Epidemiology as they are applied to various health problems. It illustrates the scope of Epidemiology through studies of specific diseases. It places emphasis  on the interaction  between biological and statistical elements and epidemiological reasoning.

Epidemiological methods are elaborately described . The course explains the use of literature of review by health care researchers. It also illustrates a large variety of recent epidemiological research are described. These include observational, experimental, cohort and case- control studies.
