MD – 107 Health Education

This course is designed to help health educators design programs for health education, specifically with the needs and goals of their audience in mind. It takes the approach that the goal is to involve the participants  in the learning process and to provide them with the essential information to make healthier choices. The course focuses on various topics, such as approaches used in interaction between health educators and clients, communication techniques and channels, identification and prioritizing of needs, the steps involved in designing a community plan of action, the role of counseling in health education and ethical issues in health education.
