MD – 111 Statistics in Health Research

This course is indispensable to prospective health and medical researchers  The course describes the basic research methodology. This includes formulation of the research question, sampling and sample size, formulation of the questionnaire and addressing the research question. It offers elaborate review of data processing techniques. Statistical analyses include descriptive and analytic statistics. Univariate analysis, bivariate analysis and an introduction  to multivariate analysis are explained. It also presents details of data interpretation and generalization of findings. Finally, the course illustrates how researchers should write their research report.
