MD – 102 Financial of Health Services Organizations

This course is directed towards non-financially trained decision makers in the healthcare industry. It aims at improving  their  understanding and use of financial information, particularly as it relates HSO management. As part of the discussion of management accounting, budgeting, break-even analysis and variance analysis are introduced. A wide variety of examples drawn from different healthcare sectors are used to illustrate the application of accounting techniques, adding a practical dimension and helping to relate general accounting practices to the specific needs of the health industry.
